Hi! My name is Odavia and I am a candle-loving 24 year old, living in Chicago. I was born and raised in Jamaica and have been living in the U.S. for a little over 6 years. When I’m not curating candles and managing Odavia’s Alchemy, I’m taking care of my 20+ indoor plants, tending to my small patio garden, or falling repeatedly on the tennis court as I try to master the art of roller skating (LOL). I have the pleasure of being a pediatric hematology-oncology and stem cell transplant nurse, so practicing holistic care with an emphasis on preserving my mental health, is one of the most important things I can do for my kiddos battling cancer and blood disorders.

Growing up in the tropics and practicing integrative medicine that consists of using both Western and homeopathic remedies, has taught me to have a true appreciation for nature and the healing properties that can be extracted from the herbs, flowers, fruits, and spices that surround us. I started Odavia’s Alchemy in 2019 with the intention of fostering a creative outlet that combines my love for crafting with my appreciation for the ability of aromatherapy to set or change the ambiance of a space. Being able to share my creations with the world and seeing the positive responses has been such a great sense of pride and accomplishment for me and motivates me to continue to do what I love which is providing products that are of the highest quality.
